SLM Production is a progressive production company dedicated to producing provocative and interesting short and feature films and providing services to film and theater professionals.  Founded by a native South African and a born and raised New Yorker, we are rapidly expanding our service offerings and partnerships.

School and formalize training are great places to start. However, it is our belief that that type of  training is not the only thing that makes someone produce great work. More importantly, is the drive to learn skills, a detailed oriented disciplined work style and a sense of aesthetics and art that makes an artist rise to their potential. The best way to learn how to create a short film is to create one.  If you want to make a feature film then do it.  If you want to learn a new skill then go out there and learn it.  Its the combination of formal training, real world trial and error and a focused drive that make an artist capable of doing what they want to. 

We also believe the creation of great projects relies not only on one person, but the commitment of every department involved.  It is the collaborative process that pushes everyone to go beyond their previous limits.  To this end, we are constantly creating relationships and partnerships with other industry professionals.
